CBD as you know by now is one the absolute most popular products in the nutritional world today. You can buy CBD essentially anywhere. As we have stressed in many other blogs, product quality is very important! Purchasing a quality CBD product from a reliable company will ensure you are getting the most bang for your buck. What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is a naturally occurring compound found in the flower of cannabis. The cannabis plant has over 100 therapeutic elements classified as phytocannabinoids. Cannabidiol is one of the phytocannabinoids! Now let’s be honest, you hear the words “cannabis” and many will think of marijuana which gives a “high” affect. The compound in the cannabis plant that generates a euphoric feeling is called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Unlike THC, CBD does not create a high/intoxicated feeling.

Nutritional Frontiers has just drastically changed the world of CBD. By working with a BioTech company, they have created a brand-new formula that allows the body to absorb cannabinoids faster and better! The new formula allows the capsule to be consumed by mouth, but when digested, withstand the harsh acids located within the large intestine and stomach. Acids in the large intestine and stomach are very strong and can destroy some of the cannabinoids in regular CBD products, which means we do not always get the optimal benefit. With this new formula, more cannabinoids can reach the small intestine where they can be released for quick absorption into the body. Research is showing this new formula can be 4x more absorbable!

Within this new formula, citrus fruits, turmeric extract (containing curcumin) and black pepper extract are also included. These ingredients work to inhibit a substance in the large intestine that can also break down some of the cannabinoids, which allows the body to absorb all the good stuff quicker, faster, and better! Citrus fruit, turmeric, and black pepper are also known for their great work of reducing inflammation within the body.

What if you are already taking a NF CBD product?

No worries! If you are using the oil, taking the capsule, chewing the gummy, or rubbing in the cream and loving your product, no need to change! Dosing Info

It is recommended to start taking 1 capsule per day, 30 minutes before bed. Dosing can increase to up to 3 capsules per day, if needed.

It is very important to note that with any supplement containing citrus fruit, the supplement must be taken 2 hours apart from any prescription medication.

As always with any supplementation, consult your physician if you are pregnant or breast feeding. It is also recommended to discontinue use 2 weeks prior to any surgery.
